S. Winfield Cain, Chairman
Win began his career with the Chessie Systems, Inc. in 1964, where he rose to become Manager of Financial Planning and Manager of Investments. His responsibilities there included the management of all corporate funds and the pension funds of the Baltimore & Ohio, and the Chesapeake and Ohio railroads.
In 1969 he joined Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. where he was a Vice President, member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Investment Advisory Department's stock Selection Committee. He also managed the Drexel Utility Fund.
Win joined Redwood Capital Management in 1981 as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager.
Win was one of the co-founders Mount Vernon Associates, Inc. in 1986 and has served as its Chief Investment Officer since then. Mount Vernon provides investment management for individuals, families, trusts, small businesses, corporations and not-for-profit organizations.
Win earned his BS from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Case Western University.
Win is a member of the Sheppard Pratt Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and Investment Committee; the Friends School of Baltimore Board of Trustees and Investment Committee; and on the Board of the Govan Ecumenical Development Corporation.

Mark C. Sullivan, President and Chief Investment Officer
Mark began his investment career in 1983 as Specialist Assistant at John Louis Securities Group, Inc., then specialists at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
In 1984, Mark joined Burke, Lawton & Brewer, a Philadelphia-based investment adviser as Portfolio Manager and General Securities Principal.
Mark moved to Walnut Asset Management, Philadelphia, in 1991 where he served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager.
Mark joined Mount Vernon in 1993 as Vice President and member of the Investment Policy Committee.
Mark serves on the board of the Towson University Foundation and serves as Chair of its Investment Committee.
Mark earned his BA from the Lake Forest College.

J. Jordan Schlick, CFA, Vice President
Jordan began his investment career in 1988 with GIT Investments, Arlington, Virginia (subsequently acquired by the Mosaic Funds) as Portfolio Manager for a $170 million money market fund. In 1992 he was hired as Portfolio Manager for First National Bank of Maryland (now M&T Bank) in Baltimore, managing over $100 million in balanced accounts for individuals, families, and local businesses. While there he also served as the equity analyst covering the software and transportation industries.
In 1994 he joined Mercantile Safe Deposit and Trust Co. as an equity analyst covering the technology, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications sectors. Shortly after joining, Mr. Schlick began co-managing one of Mercantile’s mutual funds.
In 1999, Jordan and his family moved to San Francisco where he joined HighMark Capital, the mutual fund arm of Union Bank of California. While there he served as co-manager for $500 million in equity and balanced institutional accounts and mutual funds. Mr. Schlick returned to Columbia, Maryland in 2003 to launch Compass Investment Management, LLC.
Jordan joined Mt. Vernon in May, 2006 as a Vice President and member of the Investment Policy Committee.
Jordan has a BA and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.
He earned his Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 1992.

Marcia J. Zercoe, Vice President Investment Strategist
Marcia began her investment career as Trader/Money Market Portfolio Manager for Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company. In 1985, she was hired by The Baltimore Life Insurance Company as Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee all of the company's fixed income assets.
Marcia moved to Philadelphia in 1988 and was hired as Vice President and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Provident Capital Management, a subsidiary of PNC. In 1991, she was tapped to oversee PCM's Fixed Income Group. She returned to Baltimore in 1994 to lead the fixed income division of Allied Investment Advisors/FNB.
In 1995, Marcia returned to Philadelphia to become a Principal and Vice President at 1838 Investment Advisors, Radnor, PA where she headed the firm's $2.5 billion Institutional Fixed Income Department.
Marcia currently serves on the board of the Maryland State Teachers and Public Employees Supplemental Retirement Plan, and serves on its Investment Committee. In addition, she is a board member for the Towson University Foundation and Investment Committee member, and member of the Towson University Board of Visitors. She recently joined the board of the Hospice Cup, Inc. which seeks to raise funds for the local hospices through its annual sailing regatta.
Marcia has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics degree from Towson University, and a Master of Finance degree from Loyola University.
